Omniva to issue a special stamp and exhibition card for the Boston philatelic exhibition

On 23 May, Omniva will release a limited-edition special stamp and exhibition card dedicated to the Boston 2026 World Stamp Show. The issue was designed by Birgit Pajust together with the Boston 2026 International Post Office.

The Boston 2026 World Stamp Show takes place from 23 to 30 May and is the 12th international philatelic exhibition to be organised in the United States. More than 3,500 exhibition frames across different categories will be on display, and the event is part of the programme marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.

“The Boston World Expo is one of the most important international philatelic events of the year. Exhibitions like this offer an opportunity to showcase not only stamps, but also countries’ design, postal history and cultural heritage,” said Katri Laanela, Head of Postal Services at Omniva.

According to Laanela, world exhibitions clearly demonstrate how international philately remains today. They bring together collectors, designers and postal organisations from around the world, creating opportunities to share different countries’ postal culture and design traditions.

“Philately helps preserve culture, history and design. World exhibitions like this provide an excellent opportunity to show how different countries tell their stories through stamps,” Laanela added.

The exhibition stamp is priced at €3.90 and is suitable for international mail. The print run is 2,000 copies. The exhibition card is priced at €5. The stamp and exhibition card are available exclusively in the Omniva e-shop.
