Saue Municipality residents can test a personal parcel machine installed at home
International technology and logistics group Omniva invites residents and small businesses in Saue Municipality to test the Picapac personal parcel machine, which is installed at home and allows users to receive, send and return parcels without leaving home. The first Picapac users are already present in the area, and Omniva now wants to offer the same opportunity to more residents of Saue Municipality.
Picapac is Omniva’s personal parcel machine, installed at the customer’s home and available for use by both Omniva and other parcel carriers. The solution makes it possible to receive, send and return parcels without leaving home, and is particularly suitable for private houses, terraced houses, smaller apartment buildings and small businesses.
Testing Picapac personal parcel machines is part of Omniva’s broader goal to bring parcel services closer to people and make receiving, sending and returning parcels as convenient as possible. Through the pilots, we gain a better understanding of how a personal parcel machine fits into people’s everyday lives and in which areas a parcel machine installed at home delivers the clearest time savings.
“The first Picapac users in Saue Municipality are already up and running, which gives us confidence that there may be broader interest in personal parcel machines in the area. We now want to give more residents of Saue Municipality the opportunity to try Picapac at home and see how well it fits into their everyday life,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Picapac Product Manager at Omniva.
“Saue Municipality is a diverse and rapidly developing area, with both denser residential neighbourhoods and more sparsely populated locations. In areas like this, a personal parcel machine can save people a noticeable amount of time, as parcels can be received, sent and returned right at their doorstep,” Kolesnikov added.
Participants in the pilot can use Picapac free of charge for three months, including free installation and transport. Usually, both the installation and use of Picapac are paid services.

If the initiative proves successful, Omniva plans to expand Picapac to other residential areas across Estonia.
