Omniva to Close Kristiine Post Office from March 31

As part of modernizing its postal network, Omniva will close the Kristiine post office starting March 31. All postal services will remain available in the area.

While an average of 120 parcels per day were handled through the Kristiine post office over the past year, approximately 815 parcels per day are processed via parcel machines in Kristiine.

“People’s consumption habits have clearly changed, and visits to post offices are steadily declining. During 2026, Omniva will better align its postal network with society’s evolving needs by reducing the number of post offices across Estonia and increasing the number of parcel machines,” explained Lylian Peek, Head of Omniva’s Postal Network.

All postal services will continue to be available to residents of the Kristiine district. Both domestic and international parcels can be registered for sending via Omniva’s self-service platform in the mobile app or online at minu.omniva.ee.

“In self-service, customers can see all their outgoing and incoming parcels, track the shipment journey and current status. Customers can also change the parcel pick-up location or extend the storage period themselves,” Peek added.

Parcels can be sent and received via parcel machines or by courier. There are currently six parcel machines in the Kristiine district: at Tondi Selver, Kristiine Centre, Sõpruse Rimi, Marienthal Centre, Maxima X (Nõmme tee 23), and Tammsaare Business Centre.

Postage stamps and other mailing supplies can be purchased from resellers at the Kristiine R-kiosk, Apollo, Prisma and Charlot stores in Kristiine Centre, Tondi Selver, or from Omniva’s e-shop. Letters can be posted in mailboxes. Locations of all parcel machines, resellers and mailboxes in the area can be found here.

The nearest post offices to Kristiine are located at Kaubamaja, Mustika Centre, and Rocca al Mare.

For residents with mobility difficulties or those who are not yet ready to use technological solutions, Omniva also offers a personal postal service – the option to call a postal courier to their home or workplace. Through the courier, customers can purchase stamps and other supplies, send and receive letters and universal service parcels, pay bills, and subscribe to periodicals.

“We wish all residents of the Kristiine area a smooth transition to the new postal service solutions,” said Lylian Peek.
