Omniva self-service makes parcel management simpler and safer

In Omniva self-service, everyone can track, manage, and send their incoming and outgoing parcels worldwide. Many parcel-related actions that previously required a visit to a post office or contacting customer service are now instantly available in self-service, regardless of location or time of day. Self-service also helps distinguish genuine parcel notifications from scams.

Self-service is available both as a mobile app (Google Play, App Store) and on the web at minu.omniva.ee. Users can log in with Smart-ID, Mobile-ID, or an ID card. Once logged in, customers can see all their incoming and outgoing parcels in real time – including status, location, route, and estimated delivery time.

By setting up their account, customers can define three delivery preferences for receiving parcels. “From then on, there’s no need to search for the right parcel locker from a dropdown menu when shopping online – simply choose my first preference and the parcel will arrive at your home locker. If the first locker happens to be full, the parcel is automatically redirected to the second preference,” explains Oliver Pruel, Product Manager of Omniva’s digital channels.

Customers can also choose how they want to receive notifications from Omniva about their parcels – via push notification, SMS, or email.

Managing your parcels

If a parcel has not yet reached sorting, customers can change its destination themselves. For parcels that have already arrived at a parcel locker, the storage period can be extended – up to a total of 12 additional days. If a parcel has been damaged or lost, this can also be reported directly to Omniva via self-service.

“Self-service is also an important safeguard against the widespread scams seen today, where people are asked to pay money to supposedly receive a parcel. For self-service users, it’s easy to tell the difference between a real parcel notification and a scam message – genuine parcels are visible in self-service, and all actions, such as customs declarations and payment of customs fees, can be completed securely within self-service,” Pruel explained.

Sending worldwide

Via self-service, parcels can be sent both within Estonia and anywhere in the world. Sending international parcels through self-service is cheaper than at a post office, and the parcel’s movement can be tracked in real time throughout its entire journey. A parcel registered in self-service can be handed over to Omniva by placing it in the nearest parcel locker or by requesting a courier pickup.

In addition to parcel-related services, Omniva self-service offers customers various discount codes from online stores as a benefit. The offers are personalized according to the customer’s interests, which can also be adjusted by the user in self-service.
