Omniva is once again giving children the opportunity to send a letter to Santa Claus by post this year. Santa will also reply to every letter he receives.

In November and December, Omniva offers children in Estonia the chance to send their Christmas wishes or thoughts to Santa Claus by mail. Santa will send a personal reply by post to every child who writes to him.

“Sending a letter to Santa is a wonderful way to teach children how to post a letter using paper, an envelope, and a stamp,” said Omniva’s Head of Communications, Madiken Oja. “We’ve been running this campaign for three years now, and the feedback is always very positive – it brings children genuine joy when Santa’s letter arrives in their own mailbox.”

To send a letter to Santa Claus:

  • Place the child’s letter in an envelope.

  • Address the envelope to JÕULUVANA.

  • Affix a valid domestic postage stamp.

  • Write the sender’s address on the back of the envelope.

  • Drop the letter into an orange Omniva mailbox. You can find mailbox locations HERE.

“From there, Omniva’s little helpers will make sure that Santa receives every letter and sends out his replies to each child,” Oja added.

To ensure that Santa’s response arrives by Christmas Eve, the letter must be posted no later than the evening of December 15. “Although Estonians send fewer paper letters each year, one important tradition remains strong even in the digital age – remembering loved ones at Christmas with handwritten words or a personal postcard. As many as one-third of all letters sent throughout the year are mailed in December. So it’s worth sending your letter to Santa in good time,” Oja noted.
