Omniva invites Nõmme residents to try the Picapac private parcel locker installed at their doorstep
International logistics and technology company Omniva is now offering residents of Nõmme the opportunity to try the Picapac private parcel locker installed at their doorstep free of charge.
“We launched the Picapac pilot project in February in Rae municipality and expanded it to the Viimsi area in March. The pilot project has generated strong interest, and we are now inviting residents of Nõmme to participate as well. In Nõmme, we will be able to test how such a solution works in a more densely populated urban area,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Picapac Product Manager at Omniva.
Picapac is a private parcel locker installed at home and part of Omniva’s parcel locker network. It allows users to receive, return and send parcels. In addition to Omniva, the locker can also be used by other parcel delivery companies, food couriers and other service providers. It offersthe greatest convenience to people who order or send parcels frequently.
“Our goal at Omniva is to bring the world closer to people. To do that, our services also need to be where people actually live and move. The Picapac parcel locker brings parcel sending and receiving within slippers’ distance,” said Martti Kuldma, Chairman of the Management Board of Omniva.
As part of the Nõmme pilot project, Omniva will install a limited number of Picapac lockers next to private houses and terraced house units. Participants in the pilot project will be able to try the service free of charge, although the installation and use of Picapac is normally paid.
Residents of Nõmme who are interested in joining the pilot project can do so by filling in the application form HERE. The number of places in the project is limited. Omniva will contact suitable applicants and make them an individual offer.
If the pilot project in Nõmme proves successful, Omniva plans to offer the Picapac solution in other residential areas in Tallinn and Harjumaa as well.
