Omniva invites Kohila residents to try the Picapac home parcel locker

International technology and logistics group Omniva is expanding its Picapac home parcel locker network to Kohila and inviting local residents to join a new pilot project. Owners of private houses, terraced houses and small businesses are welcome to apply.

Picapac is a home parcel locker installed on private property and connected to Omniva’s parcel locker network. It can receive deliveries not only from Omniva but also from other parcel delivery companies, food couriers and various service providers, including laundry services. In addition, Picapac users can receive their letters, newspapers and magazines through the home parcel locker, allowing both parcels and mail to arrive in one convenient location.

“The Picapac pilot projects carried out in Harju County have shown that people value the convenience of receiving parcels and other deliveries right at their doorstep. In cooperation with the Municipality of Kohila, we can now offer this solution in another community where convenient, time-saving services close to home can make everyday life significantly easier,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Product Manager for Picapac at Omniva.

“Kohila is a growing municipality, and with that growth comes an increasing demand for smart and convenient services. The Picapac pilot project gives our residents the opportunity to try an innovative solution that makes receiving parcels and mail easier while saving time. We are pleased that Omniva has chosen Kohila as one of the locations to test this service. We hope local residents will actively take part and help shape the future of the service through their feedback,” said Aivar Roop, Development Adviser at the Municipality of Kohila.

Participants in the pilot project will be able to use Picapac free of charge for three months. Omniva will cover both the installation and transportation costs of the home parcel locker. Under normal conditions, the installation and use of Picapac are subject to a fee.

Those interested in joining the pilot project can submit their application HERE. The number of places is limited, and Omniva will contact applicants individually.

The results of the Kohila pilot project will help Omniva evaluate the further expansion of the Picapac solution to other regions across Estonia.
