Omniva Invites Kakumäe Residents to Test Private Parcel Machines Installed at Home
Omniva is launching a pilot project in Kakumäe to test the use of Picapac private parcel machines installed at customers’ homes and to assess interest in this type of solution. Homeowners, townhouse residents and small businesses are invited to participate.
Picapac is a private parcel machine installed at the customer’s home and connected to Omniva’s parcel machine network. In addition to Omniva, the solution can also be used by other delivery companies, food couriers and various service providers. The private parcel machine is ideal for people who frequently use delivery services and want maximum convenience — without having to wait for a courier or travel to a parcel machine.
“Kakumäe is a suitable area for this project because it has a large number of private homes and active e-commerce users. We want to better understand the level of interest in private parcel machines installed at people’s homes and how they use such a solution in their everyday lives,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Product Manager of Picapac at Omniva.
Participants in the pilot project will be able to use the Picapac solution free of charge for three months, including free delivery and installation. Under normal circumstances, Picapac installation and use are subject to a fee.

If the initiative proves successful, Omniva plans to expand the Picapac solution to other residential areas across Estonia.
