Lagedi residents can now try Picapac right at their doorstep
Lagedi is one of the growing centres in Rae Municipality, with new homes being built and the local living environment continuing to develop. Omniva is now offering owners of private houses and terraced houses in Lagedi the opportunity to try a Picapac private parcel machine at their home free of charge for three months. Transport and installation of the machine are also free of charge.
Picapac allows customers to receive, send and return parcels without leaving home. Shipments can be delivered to the machine by Omniva as well as other delivery companies and food couriers. When sending or receiving parcels with Omniva, the standard parcel machine service price applies.
“Lagedi is a rapidly developing residential area where the addition of new homes is also increasing the need for convenient services close to home. Picapac allows people to send and receive parcels right from their doorstep, reducing the need to make separate trips to a parcel machine. In areas like this, we want to understand the value that a denser private parcel machine network can bring to people’s everyday lives,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Product Manager for Picapac at Omniva.
Picapac also brings other everyday services to the doorstep. Customers can use it to send laundry for washing or dry cleaning and to send items they no longer need to Uuskasutuskeskus for reuse. In addition to parcels, letters and periodicals are delivered to the private parcel machine, where they are protected from the weather, and customers receive a notification when their mail arrives.
At the end of the trial period, customers can either return the machine or continue using it for a monthly fee.
Small businesses in Lagedi are also welcome to participate in the pilot project. Omniva will provide them with an individual offer based on their needs.
Through its pilot projects, Omniva aims to better understand which residential areas have the highest demand for private parcel machines and how people use Picapac in their daily lives. The pilot also helps Omniva assess how a denser private parcel machine network affects the efficiency of last-mile logistics.
Lagedi residents can now join the campaign for the first time. To participate, they can submit an application HERE. Omniva will contact applicants directly.
The Picapac project area is gradually expanding. People living outside the current project areas can join the waiting list. When selecting new areas, Omniva takes into account, among other factors, the level of interest from each area.
