Jõhvi post office to relocate in June

The Jõhvi post office will move to a new location on 15 June. From that date, it will operate at the Omniva Jõhvi distribution centre, Linda 15e.

The post office will remain open at its current premises in the Jewe Centre (Narva mnt 8) until 10 June. It will be closed on 11–12 June due to the relocation.

All standard postal services will continue to be available at the new location, including sending and receiving items, purchasing stamps and packaging, making payments, and subscribing to periodicals. The post office will be open on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00.

The relocation is part of a broader plan to integrate regional post offices with distribution centres between 2025 and 2026.“Customer behaviour has changed: fewer letters are being sent, while parcel lockers are increasingly used for sending parcels. As a result, footfall in post offices continues to decline. Relocating post offices from leased premises to Omniva’s distribution centres is a more cost-efficient approach that helps ensure the long-term sustainability of lower-volume locations,” said Lylian Peek, Head of Omniva’s Postal Network.

Postal and parcel services in Jõhvi

Postal and parcel services will remain accessible in central Jõhvi.

In addition to the post office, both domestic and international parcels can be sent via the Omniva mobile app or the self-service portal at minu.omniva.ee. Customers can view all incoming and outgoing shipments, track their progress, check delivery estimates, change the delivery location, and extend storage periods.

Shipments can be collected from or handed over at parcel lockers located at Grossi, Jewe shopping centre, Pargi centre, and Maxima XX in Jõhvi, or via courier service.

Postage stamps are also available at R-kiosk, Selver, Maksimarket, Büroomaailm and Charlot stores in Jõhvi.

Locations of all Omniva parcel lockers, stamp retailers and mailboxes are available here.

Omniva also offers a personal postal service, allowing customers to request a courier to their home or workplace. This service is designed for those who are unable or prefer not to use digital solutions, and is particularly suitable for people with reduced mobility. Customers can access the same services as at a post office, including purchasing stamps and supplies, sending and receiving letters and universal service parcels, paying bills, and subscribing to periodicals. The service can be ordered via the Omniva website or through customer service at [email protected] or +372 664 3330.
