Haapsalu post office to relocate to Haapsalu Kaubamaja
From 26 October, Omniva’s Haapsalu post office will be located in Haapsalu Kaubamaja at Tallinna mnt 1. The new location will make it easier for customers to combine a visit to the post office with other everyday errands. The services and opening hours of the post office will remain unchanged.
Customer visits to the Haapsalu post office have decreased by 33% over the past year. As a result, the post office will move to smaller premises that better reflect current customer numbers.
“Consumer habits have changed, with more and more people preferring to use parcel machines. Omniva will continue to maintain post offices in all county centres, while adapting the size of the premises to actual demand. In Haapsalu, the move also gives us an opportunity to bring the post office to a more convenient location, where customers can take care of their postal needs alongside other everyday errands,” explained Lylian Peek, Head of Distribution and Postal Network at Omniva.
The new post office will be located on the ground floor of Haapsalu Kaubamaja. It can be accessed both through the Konsum foyer and directly from the street, using the same entrance as the flower shop.
The post office at its current location at Nurme 2 will remain open until 21 October. It will be closed on 22 and 23 October due to the relocation and will reopen at its new location on 26 October.
The Haapsalu post office is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 17:00, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 to 18:00.
During an employee’s annual leave from 5 to 18 October, the post office will temporarily be open two days a week: Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 17:00.
At the post office, customers can purchase stamps and other mailing supplies, send letters, registered letters and maxi letters, and send and receive parcels.
