Alo Streimann featured in the second episode of Omniva’s Postipoisid podcast

On Friday, 5 June, Omniva released the second episode of its Postipoisid podcast, in which Omniva CEO Martti Kuldma speaks with Alo Streimann, former CEO of Eesti Post. Streimann led the organisation in the early 2000s, a transformative period when the postal market opened to competition, new growth opportunities were explored, and the foundations were laid for several of the development directions that have shaped today’s Omniva.

The second episode looks back at the state of Eesti Post following the tenure of Tarmo-Jaan Tõeleiu, the decision to move the company’s headquarters to Pallasti Street, and why strategic planning became a greater priority within the organisation. The conversation also explores how the idea of expanding into Lithuania emerged and the challenges the company faced in a rapidly changing market environment.

The discussion covers topics such as competition, investments and bonds, while also examining what it means to lead a state-owned company during a period of significant change. Streimann shares his perspective on today’s Omniva, the possibility of privatisation, and the role that intuition and courage play in leadership and decision-making.

Postipoisid is Omniva’s podcast series in which CEO Martti Kuldma speaks with former leaders of Eesti Post about the company’s history, leadership, and the evolution of the postal and parcel markets over the years. The podcast reflects on key turning points, management decisions and developments that have helped shape the Omniva of today.
