A train full of parcel machines is on its way to Estonia

The first train full of parcel machines began its journey from China. One hundred of them will be installed in different locations in Estonia this year.

During November, Omniva will launch its largest project of expanding the parcel machine network: the international logistics company will install 100 new parcel machines in Estonia. By the end of the year, however, more than 250 new parcel machines will be added to the Baltic network. ‘Our customers clearly prefer parcel machines to send and receive their shipments. Our goal is to be as close as possible to the people while they do so,’ said Evert Rööpson, Head of the Parcel Machine Network. ‘With new locations, we want to make using parcel machines even more convenient for people.’

According to Rööpson, the expansion project is well underway and the parcel machines will soon arrive in Estonia. ‘On 6 October, the first train full of parcel machines began its journey from China to the Baltics,’ explained Rööpson. First, the parcel machines will be transported with a charter train to Poland and from there, trucks will take them to everywhere in the Baltics.

This year, Omniva will install over 250 new parcel machines all over the Baltics, including 100 in new locations in Estonia. Omniva wants to bring the parcel machines close to the people, especially where there is remarkable demand and need. With the expansion project, Omniva will also reach many smaller settlements where people have not been able to use parcel machines yet.

Estonians prefer parcel machines for good reason – picking up a parcel from there is easy for both young and old customers. Additionally, parcel machines are open 24 hours a day.
