Parcel machines revive the connections throughout the Baltics

As 27 years pass from Baltic Chain, a peaceful political demonstration where approximately two million inhabitants of the Baltic states joined hands forming a human chain from Tallinn through Riga to Vilnius, Omniva’s Member of the Management Board Ansi Arumeel reflects how pan-Baltic connections are still staying strong.

Ansi Arumeel told that unlike in 1989, nowadays people are much more connected with eachother and the rest of the world. “People can have video conversations with friends from around the world, access all the new music globally and momentarily, and buy goods and services even from another continent with just a few clicks and have them delivered to their doorstep,” said Arumeel.

Omniva, for example, is keeping the connections strong throughout the Baltics. Besides providing the fastest parcel machine service, we also connect Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians. “Altough the company’s headquarters situates in Tallinn, then the Latvian and Lithuanian departments are strongly connected and integrated into companies’ strategies and business trends,” said Arumeel.

Regarding all big projects, whether it’s planning the new logistics information system or participating in corporate events, Omniva employees always stand together as one Baltic family. “In a way, Omniva has a lot in common with the Baltic Chain - We extend throughout the Baltics and work towards a mutual goal, just as did the Baltic Way,” explained Arumeel.

In fact, one can find Omniva parcel machine in any major checkpoint of the Batlic Chain – Tallinn, Rapla, Türi, Viljandi, Karksi-Nuia in Estonia; Valmiera, Cēsis, Sigulda, Riga, Ķekava, Bauska in Latvia and Paslavys, Panevėžys, Ukmergė, Vilnius in Lithuania. “Already we have the biggest parcel machine network in the Baltics. Yet we are surely going to expand even further in all the Baltic states” promised Arumeel.  “If we would arrange all our 28694 parcel machine lockers side by side then the chain would span for about 13,2km, which is tiny compared to the 675,5km of the Baltic Chain, but still quite impressive for a chain of parcel lockers,” said Arumeel.
