Receiving postal shipments is becoming easier

Regarding the changes in terms of the universal postal service (UPT), it will no longer be necessary to a show a letter of authorization when picking up a postal shipment from a post office sent by an acquaintance or a person close as of 9. October.

The change affects standard shipments that will no longer require a letter of authorization to pick up from the post office.

According to the standing arrangement, a standard shipment was issued from the post office only to a person to whom the shipment was sent. A letter of authorization was required when picking up a shipment sent by an acquaintance or a person close to you. As of now, an identification document and an address the shipment was sent to will be required.

As a rule, a standard shipment is taken to the address by our mailmen. If however it does not fit into a mailbox the mailmen will put a notification to the mailbox and the shipment can be received from the post office.

Dropping the requirement of the letter of authorization will allow for a much faster and smoother transfer of the shipment in post offices, because an employee will no longer have to spend time verifying the letter of authorization. This is a long awaited change that will make the clients life much easier. The current arrangement, which was getting in the way of time was causing much discontent.

Dropping the requirement of the letter of authorization will only affect standard shipments. Registered shipments will still be used for sending more valuable documents and items as a rule and will not be affected by the change.
