Your expense reports are now available on your smartphone via the Omniva Invoice Centre service
Omniva will soon launch a new solution, which will allow using smartphones for drawing up the expense reports and travel expenses to be submitted to companies.
To submit an expense report, all you need to do is take a picture of the receipt or travel ticket, fill in the necessary blanks on the expense report form and send it in for confirmation. All that can be done via the smartphone app, which available both for Android and iOS.
“Because expense reports are filed in nearly every company, there is an obvious need to digitalize and automatize this operation,” said Omniva’s head of the information business department, Sander Aasna.
Submitting expense reports by a smartphone is paper-free and saves time. According to Aasna, it is very easy to fill a digital expense report, because there are only a few blanks to fill and the whole process has automatic guidance. “The system has been developed so that everyone could use it, there is no need for any accounting knowledge or technical terms,” explained Aasna.
Survey conducted with test-clients has shown that while it takes 29 minutes to fill a paper expense report, add necessary receipts to it and send it for confirmation, the smart e-expense report only takes 5 minutes to complete.
“In the point of view of the company’s accounting, it is of course very important that the documents are easily re-presented and automatically archived in accordance with the law,” noted Aasna. Also, it eliminates the possibility of the loss of expense documents as it often happens to paper receipts.
The expense report solution will also be supported by the e-receipt portal, which will automatically save the receipts of the traders who have joined the system, which in turn can be added to the expense reports with just a single mouse click.
The service will premiere in Pärnu at this week’s accountants’ conference. The service will reach the markets this autumn.
Omniva Invoice Centre is a way to conveniently send, receive, process and store invoices. It allows the management of bills incoming from and outgoing to different sources – e-invoices, PDF-invoices as well as paper invoices – all together in one place. Thanks to the invoice centre, the whole purchase and sales invoice processing of a company can become paper free.
