The e-receipt and m-receipt cooperation project managed by Omniva stands as a finalist for the Swedish Business Awards
The e-receipt and m-receipt cooperation project managed by Omniva was chosen to be among the three finalists in the category of technological innovation of the Swedish Business Awards by an international jury this year.
Within two weeks, a total of 58 applications were received under this year’s Swedish Business Awards. Among the chosen nominees, the jury will announce the best sustainably growing company, the best socially responsible project, the young entrepreneur of the year, and the best project of technological innovation.
The nominees for the technological innovation prize that is awarded for the first time this year include Evocon, Skeleton Technologies, and the e-receipt of Omniva.
“The e-receipt and m-receipt form a cooperation project managed by Omniva, and it links various sectors, companies, and countries. This software solution enables the purchaser to view and manage all receipts in one place, both in the web portal and on the mobile phone,” Member of the Management Board of Omniva Mait Sooaru said.
He added that this gradually eliminates the need to issue a paper receipt, and private persons, companies, and the state as a whole benefit from the use of the electronic e-receipt and m-receipt in a variety of ways. Next year, the service is planned to be made available to the general public.
The e-receipt project is carried out by an international consortium, which in addition to Omniva includes Eesti Telekom AS, Trinidad Consulting OÜ, IKT Demokeskus MTÜ, and Helesinine OÜ from Estonia and Authente AS from Norway.
The event is sponsored by Ericsson, company of defence industry Saab, EMT and Elion, the Swedish Institute, EAS, and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
The winners will be announced at the international conference taking place in Kumu on 20 October.
