One more week left - More than 1500 families and dozen companies help to find new homes for toys

Omniva’s A New Home for Teddy charity campaign has involved nearly 1500 people and several companies across Estonia. You can still send children’s toys for free until Sunday.

“Estonian people love to do good. We are incredibly happy that the campaign has proven to be very popular once again and that people have come around to the idea of reusing things,” Omniva marketing manager Mihkel Külaots said. “And it is not too late for those who have not yet managed to revise their toy chests.”

To send toys free of charge, sign up on the Omniva website beforehand. You will then receive a code and instructions on how to send the toys free of charge. Külaots also asks everyone to pay attention to proper packaging to make sure that the toys arrive to their new owners complete, intact and clean. Please only ship complete, intact and clean toys.

In order for your toy to reach the right child, Omniva has joined forces with the organisations MTÜ Naerata Ometi, the Estonian Association of Large Families, MTÜ Aarete Laegas and Toidupank.

The toy collection campaign takes place for the third time. According to Külaots, last year people sent almost 20 pallets worth of toys to new homes via several aid agencies. The shipped items included LEGO sets, board games, books, as well as stuffed toys.

Many children receive a lot of presents during Christmas, including several new toys. Omniva has launched a project for finding new owners for unused toys in order to ensure that once well-loved toys do not have to sit idly on the shelf. To participate in the campaign, sign up on the Omniva website and send the toys away at the latest on Sunday, 21 February.

Read more about who else is participating in the campaign and how the toys reach their new owners from the campaign page. Campaign A New Home for Teddy will continue until 21 February.
