Omniva asks companies working remotely to redirect courier shipments to parcel lockers

Many companies want protect the health of their employees and have therefore reorganized their daily work as teleworking. As a result, Omniva asks all companies working from home offices to redirect their courier packages to parcel machines.

This allows customers to pick up parcels quickly and without human contact from the parcel machine of their choice. This way our couriers avoid unnecessary journeys to offices where there is no-one present to accept the parcels, and parcels reach customers conveniently via parcel machine.
 
The fact that the parcel machines are mostly located outside, where the concentration of people is lower as well as the risk of infection, also speaks in their favour. Omniva cleans the touchscreens of the parcel machines regularly, but you can also use the parcel machine without any physical contact with the publicly used surfaces. Redirecting packages to parcel machines is free of charge with all courier and post office parcels. Customers can also extend the storage time of parcels in post offices and parcel machines for free.
