How do the public holidays impact delivery times?

With the Good Friday and Easter holidays approaching, we ask our clients to consider longer delivery times in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

When sending parcels, please consider that on April 2, i.e. Good Friday, the parcel machines will not be emptied or filled. This means that parcels shipped from a parcel machine on 2 and 3 April will reach the destination machine from 5 April, and parcels shipped from a parcel machine on 4 April will reach the destination machine from 6 April.

Delivery of parcels within the Baltic States will not only be affected by the upcoming public holidays in Estonia, but also by those in Latvia and Lithuania. The Latvian public holidays are on 2 and 5 April and Lithuanian holidays are on 4 and 5 April. Therefore, parcels shipped from Estonia between 1-5 April will reach Latvian parcel machines from 7 April, and Lithuanian machines from 8 April.

Be sure to check out the emptying times when sending parcels with the parcel machine. Promised delivery times apply only to the parcels placed in the parcel machines before the last collection.

One extra day should also be added to normal delivery times in case of forwarding courier deliveries, as there will be no courier pickups or deliveries on 2 April. Baltic courier deliveries handed over in Estonia on 31 March will reach Riga and its vicinity by 1 April, and the rest of Latvia by 3 April and Lithuania by 2 April. Parcel machine and courier deliveries shipped from Estonia to Latvia and Lithuania on 1-2 April will reach Latvia from 7 April and Lithuania from 8 April.

All post offices are closed on 2 April. Information on the opening hours of specific post offices is available on Omniva website and by calling 661 6616. Client information hotlines are available from 9:00 to 15:00 on Saturday, Sunday and Good Friday.

Have a beautiful spring and thank you for understanding!
